WICONISCO SETS MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM
Wiconisco will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. at the honor roll. The program will feature a keynote address by Sergeant First Class Timothy Heisey. The Williams Valley Viking “Pride” Marching Band under the direction of Ms. Elise Bordner will several musical selections. A musical selection will also be performed by Ken Shadle. The winner of the Wiconisco Alumni Scholarship will participate in the program and the Wiconisco Fire Company Scholarship winner will read their winning essay. The prayer will be delivered by Pastor Annette Shutt. Pastor Kyle Roth will provide the invocation and benediction. The Wiconisco Fire Company Color Guard will present a rifle salute followed by Taps. This year, Taps and Echo will be played by Wesley Collins and Tyler Shadle. Mr. John H.G. Coles, Chairman of the Wiconisco Township Board of Supervisors, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Breakfast will be served at the Wiconisco Fire House following the ceremony. The breakfast is being sponsored by the Calvary United Methodist Church and the Wiconisco Fire Company.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held at the Calvary United Methodist Church on Pottsville Street.
